About 5 years ago I booked my first holiday to Dahab. I didn’t know anything about Egypt, let alone Dahab. That simple week of vacation has been the start of a very serious fascination for Egypt, and a deep love for Dahab. By now I’ve traveled through Egypt 8 times, and visited Dahab 7 times.
After spending a short period in Dahab several times, it has become my wish to live in Dahab for longer time. Of course the most important thing is to find a job in Dahab. I don’t feel like serving drinks in a ‘nightclub’, I hope to find a job that matches my skills and qualities. I realize that –especially now- it won’t be easy to find a job in Dahab, though I hope to find a job as a hostess, tour leader, clerk or management assistant at for example a big hotel, as a teacher, or something else on the verge between the West and Egypt.
At this moment I work as a management consultant at a Dutch international in the field of employment. Before I worked as a consultant for a job agency, office manager, primary school teacher, hostess in France, a receptionist in a hotel and worked in hospitality during my studies. A.o. I studied tourism, I speak Dutch, English and some French, and I am studying Arabic at the moment (hard!). I am familiar with the Egyptian culture and feel comfortable in it. I’m not afraid to work hard and get the thing done that need to be done.
